With the new Nvidia GeForce GT 430, the California today presented the smallest ever model of its Fermi architecture, at least the minimum for the retail market today card. It provides with DirectX 11 and 3D Vision lags all the features of its big brothers, which, however, far behind in performance. You could say that this card is suitable for people who goes though the performance of onboard graphics chips, but do not want to do without certain features.
With 96 CUDA cores offers you exactly twice as many cores as the GeForce GT 420 as an OEM card and thus a completely unlocked GF108 chip. Apart from used chip, the two graphics cards, however, are very similar in appearance too.
The core clock is estimated at 700 MHz, the shader clock at 1400 MHz, only the memory it seems to be divided. The figures vary 800-900 MHz, was chosen as the type of memory DDR3.
Despite this meager equipment, the majority of games are playable, but rather in miserable resolutions. More important is on the 14.5-centimeter-long graphics card, an HDMI 1.4a output with that built-in DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD audio is present. 3D vision is, as already mentioned, no problem, at least, Pictures, and Blu Ray movies can be played without problems. The power consumption of 49 watts has to be limited.
