Zotac shows ION-based graphics card

Zotac, longtime partner of Nvidia, has just introduced a low-end graphics card, which is based on the ION 2 chip and is optimized for use in HTPCs. Here, the small card come up with some interesting details.

Zotac built on the compact card, which is ideal because of its low height for living room computer, a capable GT218 GPU. This contains 16 shader units, which clocked around 1400 MHz quickly, and a 64-bit wide memory interface to 790MHz fast DDR3 memory. Thanks to its PCI-Express 1x connection, it is possible to install the card on almost any Intel Atom based motherboard. This ability brings with it the capacity, 1080p content to accelerate smoothly and conjure up via HDMI or DVI on the home screen. Unfortunately, the GPU is held with a small 40mm fan to operating temperature, which is not optimal, given that the chipsets do without active cooling.
In order to give potential customers an incentive, the card is already sold for $ 60, should fall in price but a little, given the enormous speed in the developed IT market.
