64bit Windows on The Rise

Windows 7 is selling extremely well so far. Together with Windows 7 64bit on the rise. 46% of Windows installations are already seven 64bit versions, so Brandon LeBlanc from Microsoft. In Windows Vista there are just 11%, with XP than 1%.

As possible reasons for LeBlanc are in the Windows team blog at several possibilities. Once there, the cost of memory, which have fallen sharply in recent years. Sun block, more and more manufacturers of ready-made PCs more memory and deliver accordingly from Windows 7 in the 64bit version. 77% of PCs sold in April in the U.S. came with 64bit.

Likewise, more and more business 64 bit versions. In 2014 75% of all business PCs are running on 64bit operating systems. Another reason is the software developers who make their products more compatible with 64bit, or even cut it.

Another main reason was, understandably, not mentioned on the part of Microsoft, is arguably the fact that hardly went on 64bit XP for some time until problems surfaced and the 64bit Vista operating as everything else went smoothly. With Windows 7 have hardly the first time user problems with the 64bit version.
